The First Lemurian Clothing Taxonomy, or the LCT-01 for short, celebrates its first anniversary this 2026-09-30. Happy anniversary to it! In its first year of existence, its authors (or author, since it's just Lemuria), have breathed down the neck of plenty of people, including but not limited to Star Wars cosplayers, Nina Lee, and in our most recent 73-page, 83-species monograph from May 2026, just before the end of Me Made May, Jessica Silversaga!
What has the taxonomy been doing since May?
The taxonomy has not gone silent; rather, there just hasn't been enough activation energy to bother writing new journal articles. And that's okay. Plenty of research is still being done in private that we hope to bring to the public eye, and LCT-01 triplestore updates still happen occasionally so linked data users are not out of the loop.
As always we encourage interested parties to join the LCT-01 Matrix space so that they stay up to date on the latest things happening in the LCT-01.
But ultimately, it's dependent on Lemuria's unpredictable cycle of interests that seem to shift and change at random across a small pool.
Our plans for next year
We plan to keep breathing down the necks of sewists and pattern designers around the world by slapping Latin names on everything they make and ruthlessly subjecting them to maximum parsimony and maximum likelihood analysis.
Work on authoring this blog post began on 2026-09-23. Remember, you can always check the git history. Also, in typical Lemurian fashion, he forgot to post it in 2026-09-30 and only remembered on 2026-10-02.
